Bruschetta- a healthy idea to jazz up a snack or entertaining plate!
When I used to think bruschetta, I used to think italian restaurant entree or fancy cafe lunch.
But now, I whip bruschetta up in minutes to serve to my husband, when he relaxes with a beer on the weekend instead of a bowl of chips.
All you need to do is chop:
- 1-2 tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- Fresh basil
These flavours were destined to go together!!!!
We team it with wafer thin or water crackers for less kilojoules, or occasionally delicious chunks of multigrain sourdough bread.
Best of all- he LOVES it!
