Qantas First Lounge Singapore Food and Nutrition Review (updated 2026)

Well I finally made it to try the Qantas First Lounge Singapore food even if I was a few years later than planned. I was originally supposed to visit a few months after it had opened however Covid put a stop to that and I have ended up flying to Europe over the years usually via a different country or was on a non-Oneworld carrier via Changi. But finally after a recent trip to Singapore I had a chance to visit. When I visited in November 2025 I checked in early and so the lounge was fairly empty when I visited. The staff were attentive and the food came out really quickly (so quickly in some cases) I really liked the menu with the local cuisine shining through. I was lucky to then visit again in February 2026 when it was Chinese New Year and they had a special menu which I was delighted to try an dish from. In both cases I found myself a little torn as to what to choose.

What’s nutritious in Qantas First Lounge Singapore?

I chose to try the prawn wontons a they were called out in the ‘showcase’ part of the menu in the Qantas First Lounge Singapore. These ones weren’t fried and the sauce was served on the side. They had a lovely texture.

The bossam short rib was ok – I found the thinly sliced meat to be quite fatty. But I loved the choice of dish in terms of being encouraged to wraps the beef and kimchi up in the lettuce leaves. I felt the dish didn’t really need to rice and because I was jumping on an overnight 6.5 hour flight I was reducing my refined, low fibre carbohydrate intake anyway.

The Prosperity Salad for Chinese New Year was delicious, light and nutritious – perfect for before my flight. Smoked salmon is a good source of omega 3 fats which are anti-inflammatory.

Bowls of local greens and mixed leaves were available as sides. Dark green leafy vegetables are considered as one of the sub-groups of vegetables and are encouraged to be had regularly. Packed with nutrients such as vitamin A, C and K these vegetables are great to support health while travelling. Vitamin A and C are important for helping the immune system function well which is so important while travelling. Carrot soup was available as a starter which also will provide nutrients important for supporting the immune system as carrots as a source of beta-carotene (which gets converted to vitamin A in the body. Ordering one of these dishes with you meal in this lounge can help you not only be on your way to meeting your 5 serves of vegetables a day but also supporting your body while travelling.

There was a small buffet to complement the A la Carte menu which served light snacks. The fresh fruit, olives and nuts are nutritious snacks for people not looking for a meal in the lounge before their flight.

Not so great. Caution.

I was really interested to taste the Sichuan spice chicken wings. These ones had a crispy coating and so I found them a little fatty before a flight. They did however taste delicious and serving three on the plate was a good serving size. They were served with cucumber pickles and a slice of lettuce and lime mayonnaise. The cucumber pickles were really nice.

The buffet in the Qantas First Lounge Singapore also had a range of biscuits (cookies) and chips (crisps) available. Be mindful when choosing these as snacks – they can be easy to overeat, especially when if spending long periods of time in airport lounges.

Final word on Qantas First Lounge Singapore Food

Loved trying the Qantas First Lounge Singapore food – finally!!!! As the majority of food is served A la carte and a large portion of the lounge is a dining room (too much of the lounge is dining room I thought) it was good to see starters and larger meals on the menu, assisting people in being able to eat lighter dishes in a restaurant style setting. This is important before boarding long-haul flights. There is a small buffet also present in the Qantas First Lounge Singapore mainly consisting of small snacks which can also help with providing a range of food experiences (and meal sizes) to suit people in the lounge. Overall there were nutritious foods described on the menu and I look forward to reviewing more dishes next time I visit the lounge.

NOTE: All pictures of the Qantas First Lounge Singapore food are my own and I review a lounge from just the foods I see during my visit. There may be different options available at other times.
