While the travel world has been turned on its head over past 18months, im still providing information on food, nutrition and travelling where I can.
You will notice with the food and nutrition lounge reviews that I've noted when I've conducted the reviews during Covid. That way you can understand more about what you may expect in a lounge, or what a lounge used to be like. All my reviews prior to Covid are still up, but I did stop writing them once covid hit (as I had about 10 I hadn't written up prior to covid but didn't think it was right to post them when they were closed/significantly different).
Please remember I am in Australia and our international borders have veen shut for 18months (and domestic ones shut on and off) so I haven't been able to get out or around the country much.
But I'm warming back up - I'm all vaxxed and so waiting for when I can travel more then you won't be able to stop me.
In the meantime please keep sending me questions or lounge reviews you want me to do, ready for when I can.
👉 Next review is Qantas Melbourne Business Class Lounge - afternoon/evening during Covid.
I had been planning another quick trip to NZ but that is now on hold as the Australia/NZ trans-tasman bubble has now burst and will be on hold for at least 2 months.
So lucky I got to go a month ago - I felt a bit more like my old self and it was literally the breath of fresh air I needed. Now that we are facing an indefinite lockdown here in Australia, I at least feel a little more able to deal with it having had a small break.
Here I am overlooking Queenstown in New Zealand on my last trip - such a beautiful place and I cannot wait to go back.
Who here has been to Queenstown, and did you like it? 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Another breakfast option from the @qantas International First Class lounge in Melbourne (covid period) - introducing the Brunch Bowl!
The Brunch Bowl has a poached egg, goats cheese, quinoa, avocado, tomatoes and green tahini. My egg was cooked perfectly and the idea of the dish was really great I thought. However there were just a few tiny pieces of tomato in there - it would have been great to have more to break up the quinoa.
But overall a really healthy and balanced dish - perfect before a long international flight!
Would you choose this dish from an international first class lounge?
