There is no better way to pack flavours into salad than by adding herbs. I am from South East Asia and I can never eat bland foods; so to avoid adding sauces that have lots of sugar and salt in them, I add lots of herbs and spices to flavor my salads.
Konsita’s Thai Beef Salad
Thai beef salad is an extremely nutritious and satisfying meal. As I write this blog, I’ve been having this salad for lunch everyday for the last week! I use fresh sweet basil, coriander and mint, which are packed with powerful antioxidants (beta carotene) and anti-inflammatory properties. If you are overweight around the middle, or suffer from chronic diseases then it’s a good idea to start including herbs and spices in your meals. Although we are only using a small amount of herbs and spices, if you use them frequently such as daily, they will make great contributions to your health.
So if you’re looking for lunch ideas, give this salad a try.
